A DEVELOPER is trying to REZONE 22 ACRES at the end of BRIDGES ROAD, on
QUIET COUNTRY LANE, to allow 141 SINGLE FAMILY HOMES to be built.
This will PERMANENTLY CHANGE the character of our neighborhood and bring
MASSIVE PROBLEMS for EVERYONE who lives here, including:
Loud machinery, road closures, and increased truck traffic. The installation of both city water and sewer lines will immediately cause construction along the length of Bridges Road for years to come in our front yards.
Our road will no longer be safe and quiet.
Our peaceful street could turn into a major thoroughfare.
Dense housing developments can negatively impact home prices and our neighborhood is no exception.
The charm of this neighborhood and street will be gone forever.
The rezoning of Quiet Country Lane isn’t final—we still have time to take action and protect our neighborhood! If we stand together now, we can show the Jacksonville City Council that this community does not support this destructive act. Public pressure has stopped rezoning efforts before, and our voices matter in this fight.
